"Winter's Coming" - The Avionics Indoor Season
General prep leading into the beginning of indoor season starts now, especially for non-committed seniors. Your best chance at getting the look you've been hoping for is at the North Texas Jumps Showcase in mid December so, Avionics The Collective goals:
1. 4-5% improvement in PR's from the prior season.
2. 3-5% improvement in 10M fly from prior season.
3. 10-15% 1 rep max in hex bar lift, power, clean or back squat.
There are lots of other mitigating factors needed to accomplish these goals. The most important thing is building the foundation to reach them. That takes several weeks to months of prepoatory work. ATC knows it's a work in progress. There are adaptations we make based upon what we see from each athlete at each practice but we know what works and and most know and have witnessed what happens when committment levels are met.
Commitmient: We will not nor can we demand anything more than you are able to provide by the way of your athlete's participation. Avionics has specific targets that are designed within our training program, themes and specific workouts that are building blocks to the next workout. Again, it would be impossible to ask for daily participation as most training guides recommend. They don't anticipate the level of depth in coaching that we have with our athletes. Remember, there are really only a few actual jump academies across the US and, therefore, across the globe.
Depending on the level of workout that your child is receiving at school, we will anticipate needing at least twice weekly sessions and hopefully more during the general prep time (now).
Here is where, now is the time that we start building the foundation to your athletes' success. Particularly seniors who haven't had a visit or commitment yet.
Thanks for reading through what I wanted to be much more concise, but I rarely have time to really break down the idea of what your assistance can do to help get our Avionics athletes into shape and on the podium.
